Like precious jewels in a necklace, the chain of islands that make up St.Vincent & the Grenadines lie sparkling in the azure waters of the Caribbean Sea. With some being little more than uninhabited atolls, a journey through these gems begins on the main island of St.Vincent.
A mountainous island with volcanic-rich soil and lush vegetation, St.Vincent offers visitors the opportunity to explore picturesque rivers and waterfalls, historic forts, a majestic volcano and a capital city, Kingstown which boasts of the oldest botanical garden in the western hemisphere.
Bequia is nine miles south of St.Vincent. There are ferries that ply the channel between St.Vincent and Bequia several times a day. It also has an airport so connecting with international flights form other islands is not a problem. Bequia offers beautiful beaches, great restaurants and a very friendly atmosphere. There are daily flights into the airport.
Barnard’s Realty, with offices on St.Vincent and Bequia, can provide a comprehensive portfolio and full details on real estate investment offering land, villas and even islands. We have 30 years experience and work with our clients from start to finish
Mayreau is untouched by major modern development. The mail boat brings in supplies, the men fish in the surrounding waters and charter yachts ride at anchor in the translucent waters.
Union Island is often referred to as the yachting centre of the Grenadines. With several fine restaurants and quaint craft shops, Union is, in reality, a quiet spot with all the “laid-back” qualities associated with unhurried island life. A small airstrip links Union to the “outside” world.
